My short bio
I believe that photography is more than just an image on a piece of paper. In many ways, it's almost like a time machine — at any moment in the future, you can pick up a professionally crafted image and instantly transport yourself back to a specific place and time. You get to relive the memory as if it were happening right now and experience the emotion as if you were having it for the first time.
Above all else, I think that the key to being able to capture all of these moments accurately and for all time comes down to the relationship that a person forges with his or her own photographer. I look at clients as more than just "clients" - they're my friends, first and foremost. I believe that building a comfortable and candid environment gives you an unparalleled peace-of-mind, letting you put your genuine personality and emotions on display that I can then capture through my lens.
Over the last several years, photography has blossomed from something that I used to do for fun, into a wonderful compliment for my job as a firefighter. In many ways, the two are a natural pair - as a firefighter, I help save both people and their belongings from the devastating events of such a harrowing experience, and as a photographer, I help people preserve their most cherished memories so that they can savor them for all time.
Out of all aspects of my life, perhaps the one that gives me the most joy is my one-year-old son, Noah. Each and every day he reinvigorates me and makes me appreciate life and love just a little bit more. Noah and my incredible wife both encourage me to follow my passion and are, quite unabashedly, my biggest fans.
